A Simple Guide to Performing Umrah
Umrah is a beautiful act of worship. This guide walks you through each step so you can perform it with confidence and peace of heart.
1. Enter the state of Ihram Before crossing the Miqat, make your intention for Umrah and recite the Talbiyah: Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk.
2. Perform Tawaf On arriving at the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, circle the Kaaba seven times, beginning at the Black Stone.
3. Pray two rak'ahs Offer two units of prayer near Maqam Ibrahim if possible.
4. Perform Sa'i Walk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
5. Tahallul (exit Ihram) Men shave or trim their hair; women trim a fingertip's length. Your Umrah is now complete, alhamdulillah.
